Douglas & Kathleen

Air Xpress opened it's doors in 1991 when owners Douglas and Kathleen Benjamin saw a need for a residential air conditioning company that embodied all of the top notch qualities that a great service provider should possess. After succedding in the commercial market for years with their first company Air Corps they decided to launch a residential division, Air Xpress to meet the growing demand from many of their commercial customers who wanted the same great quality and service they have experienced for their business to be available for their home. It didn't take long for Air Xpress to follow in its “big brothers” footsteps and become one of the Tampa areas premiere residential air conditioning providers.

Douglas and Kathleen always had a vision of a company where every employee shared one ultimate goal: 100% Customer Satisfaction. They founded their company based upon these common principles: to be professional, knowledgeable and friendly while maintaining prices that were fair and affordable to all customers. Today Air Xpress still operates under these very same principles. Douglas and Kathleen are still owners of Aircorps/Air Xpress and have been joined by their two sons Douglas Jr. and Ryan Benjamin.

Ryan Benjamin, Vice President

Ryan is the youngest of the two sons. He attended the University of South Florida. He was a member of the USF Bulls inaugural football team and graduated with a degree in Political Science. Ryan went on to play in the NFL with various teams and was a member of the World Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002 earning a Super-bowl ring for his efforts. Ryan has brought the relentless dedication and the commitment to excellence he acquired as an athlete to his parents’ company and is now the vice president of Aircorps/Air Xpress. Ryan is a member of the New Port Richey Rotary.

Douglas Benjamin Jr, President

Douglas Jr. is the eldest son of Douglas Sr. and Kathleen. He attended the University of Massachusetts where he graduate with a degree in Business. Working in all facets of the business since he was very young, Doug Jr. has been an intregral part of shaping Aircorps and Air Xpress into the companies they are today. Doug oversees the day to day operations of both Aircorps and Air Xpress. He is a also a member of the New Port Richey Rotary.

Paula Coyne

Paula is responsible for the scheduling and dispatching of the company’s service technicians while ensuring each cus-tomer receives the proper attention they deserve.

Bob Bennett

Bob assists the owners and project managers with many of the office tasks that are required throughout the commercial instal-lation process.

Joseph Valverde

Joe brings 19 years of knowledge in the air conditioning and heating industry to Air Xpress/Aircorps. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University in 1970. He received his journeyman certification in air conditioning and heating in 1990. Joe is tireless in his pursuit of customer satisfaction. He dedicates himself to his customers and takes great pride in making sure that every one of them is completely happy with our service. Joe is available to his customers throughout the entire sales process and beyond!

Ken Payne

Ken has been in the industry for 26 years and serving with Aircorps/Air Xpress since 1999. Ken is responsible for all areas of project management with both Aircorps and Air Xpress. He is also responsible for the day to day quality control of our service department. With Ken’s vast range of knowledge he is every technician’s best friend and is available 24/7 to help out in any way he can.!

Rich Gecox

Rich’s primary function with Aircorps/Air Xpress involves the scheduling and supervising of all Aircorps/Air Xpress projects. Rich is on the front lines with our employees ensuring every one of our projects are completed in a safe, timely fashion while making certain our quality of work is consistent with our top notch reputation.

Matt Penta

Matt has been with the company for over 10 years. He is extremely talented in the fabrication of ductwork and supervises in the production of all ductwork that is made daily with various gauges of steel and types of materials. Wheteher making fittings and custom pieces of ductwork by hand or using our state of the art computerized automated fabrication machinery, there is nothing Matt cannot accomplish in house. Matt plays a vital role in every projects progression as he ensures all employees have the proper materials to complete various projects in a timely efficient manner.
